EDUCATORSEducators play a vital role in the lives of persons with Down syndrome. The Down Syndrome Association of the Valley’s outreach program provides information about Down syndrome to families, as well as teachers, administrators, aides and board members.
The primary goal of this outreach program is to ensure that all parents and educators are given accurate, up-to-date and well balanced information. A search for “Down syndrome” on the internet produces millions of results. Part of our job is to pull together quality information from trusted and credible sources to provide families and educators. In result, we have created set of resources for families and the educators partnering with them. DSAV provides speakers for conferences, meetings and training sessions, upon request. We want to support educators in providing the best educational services possible for students with Down Syndrome and their families.
