2022 BUDDY WALK - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH
The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The event, which now is hosted by more than 250 organizations, has become the premier advocacy event for Down syndrome in the United States and the world's most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community.
The annual Buddy Walk® of the Valley is DSAV’s main fundraiser and is the only nationally licensed walk in eastern Ohio and western Pensylvania. Each year, more than 2,500 people attend this symbolic walk that raises money via pledges, sponsors and entrance fees.
