Members & Friends Picnic
Our Very FIRST event, held on the coldest and rainiest day of August 2007, brought out more than 100 people. The picnic provided an introduction to DSAV for new Members. We had bouncers, face painting, balloons and a clown for the kids!

Pet Therapy Night
The program presented by The Compassionate K-9 Therapy Dog group from Beaver, PA will have nine (9) certified therapy dogs of varying breeds and their trainers. Those attending will have the opportunity to pet, brush, feed and walk the dogs, plus hear information about service and therapy dogs.
Spa Night
An evening for the ladies to be pampered, try some new beauty products and enjoy some time with just the gals.

National Legislative Day/Conference - Washington DC
Two DSAV board members attended the Down syndrome Affiliates in Action conference in Washington, DC for four days of legislative meetings on "the Hill" and numerous seminars.
State Legislative Day- Columbus, OH
ODAN (Ohio Down syndrome Advocacy Network) hosted a Legislative Breakfast reception in the Vern Riffe center. DSAV had meetings with nine of the 14 state senator and representative who serve our area.
