Boxes are placed at area business offices.
Used ink cartridges, copier toners and cell phones are placed in receptacles. (PLEASE NO cell phone accessories)
Items are picked up counted, packed and shipped.
The DSAV received over $400 from combined efforts in 2009. Thank you to Doeberling Muccio, Northeast Ohio Orthopedics, the offices of Dr Nadler and Nadler and General Motors Lordstown for your continued support and collection sites. Please contact Michele if you are interested in overseeing a few collection boxes in the businesses and offices that you frequent.

The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley is to support, advocate and be a resource for people with Down syndrome in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Funding is necessary to accomplish these goals. The funds are used in the following ways:
- New Parent packs - distributed to hospital maternity units, pediatricians, social workers, health departments and other healthcare professionals
- Educational Materials - videos, teacher packs and resources provided to area schools
- Lecture Series - Professional speakers
- Library Materials - New Down syndrome resources provided to public libraries throughout our service area
- Public Awareness Campaigns
- Buddy Walk®, License plates and more
- Advocacy for acceptance and inclusion
- Down syndrome center - serving the Mahoning, Shenango & Ohio River valleys
Your support of DSAV fundraising programs, helps advance our mission. We see a future where all people regardless of disability are included and given opportunity. Our goal is to help make that happen in Eastern Ohio & Western Pennsylvania. |
