We are happy to offer the Work Inclusive Network (WIN) Program through the DSAV Center for Success.  Please contact us if you are interested in having a student or young adult be involved in the program.

SNaP (School Networks and Partnerships) will be starting in 2011.  This partnership program promoted collaborative relations hips between the DSAV and local school districts to effect positive outcomes for students with Down syndrome and their families.

Be sure to visit our calendar page for upcoming workshops or conferences that might be of interest to you.

All About Me booklet will help families better prepare themselves and teachers for the new school year.

We are happy to offer Down Syndrome Education International  (DownsEd) literacy materials to our families and professionals in our service area.  Through the generous financial support of the Sherry Freda trust, we are able to provide materials as a part of LAMP (Literacy, Arts & Math Program) to families and schools in Trumbull County free of charge.  Outside of Trumbull county, the materials are underwritten by the DSAV.

Please contact us to make arrangements to receive these materials and begin using them to assist young children with Down syndrome.

We also have a FREE educational packet that we would like to send you.

This packet conveys the appreciation of diversity, the realization of the dignity and worth of all persons, and the tolerance of differences.

Sharing this information in a staff meeting or in-service allows the adults in the schools to become informed and in turn to model these qualities for the students they serve.

Universal Design For Learning presentation - Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an educational framework that provides flexibility in the ways information is presented, in the ways students respond or demonstrate knowledge and skills, and in the ways students are engaged. It reduces barriers in instruction, provides appropriate accommodations, supports, and challenges, and maintains high achievement expectations for all students. When properly implemented, goals, instructional materials, teaching methods and assessments are designed to be accessible to all students.
