The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley is to support, advocate and be a resource for people with Down syndrome in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Funding is necessary to accomplish these goals. The funds are used in the following ways:

• NewParent packs - distributed to hospital maternity units, pediatricians, health departments and other healthcare professionals
• Educational Materials - videos, teacher packs and resources provided to area schools
• Lecture Series - Professional speakers
• Library Materials - New Down syndrome reference materials provided to public library systems across our service area
• Public Awareness Campaigns - Buddy Walk®, License Plates and more
• Advocacy for acceptance and inclusion
• The DSAV Center for Success
