Boxes or bags are placed at area business offices.  Used ink cartridges, copier toners and cell phones are placed in receptacles.  Items are picked up and Cub Scout pack 122 sorts, counts and packs items to be shipped.

The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley is to support, advocate and be a resource for people with Down syndrome in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.  Funding is necessary to accomplish these goals.  The funds are used in the following ways:

• New Parent packs - distributed to every Maternity unit in all hospitals in the five county area as well as physician and social work offices.
• Educational Materials - videos, teacher packs and resources provided to area schools
• Lecture Series Professional speakers
• Library Materials - resources available for our members for reference and information
• Public Awareness Campaigns
• Advocacy for acceptance and inclusion
• Down syndrome center - serving the Mahoning & Shenango valleys

Your support of DSAV fundraising programs, helps advance our mission.  We see a future where all people regardless of disability are included and given opportunity.  Our goal is to help make that happen in Northeast Ohio & Western Pennsylvania.
