The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley is to support, advocate and be a resource for people with Down syndrome in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Funding is necessary to accomplish these goals. The funds are used in the following ways:
- New Parent packs - distributed to every Maternity unit in all hospitals in the five county area
- Educational Materials - videos, teacher packs and resources provided to area schools
- Lecture Series Professional speakers
- Library Materials - resources available for our members for reference and information
- Public Awareness Campaigns
- Advocacy for acceptance and inclusion
- Future Down Syndrome Center in Northeast Ohio/Western PA
